Dr. Gottlieb is a lifetime resident of Long Island. He grew up in New Hyde Park, New York, attended Herricks High School and graduated with honors in 1969. Dr. Gottlieb completed his undergraduate studies at Queens College and graduated with a history degree in 1973. He then went on to attend the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine where he graduated in 1977. Dr. Gottlieb completed a medical and podiatry surgical residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York in 1978.
Dr Gottlieb opened his Oyster Bay office in 1978, followed by opening offices in Commack in 1979 and Babylon in 1993. With over 40 years of office experience, Dr. Gottlieb currently serves patients exclusively in Oyster Bay. He is a distinguished past member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and New York State Podiatric Medical Association. He has served as past secretary, vice president and president of the Nassau County Podiatry Association. He has been honored as the podiatrist of the year by his colleagues. Dr. Gottlieb is a board-certified surgeon. He is a Diplomat to the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, Ambulatory Division. He is an attending physician at North Shore University Hospital at Glen Cove.
Dr. Gottlieb is the proud father of his three sons, Brett, Matthew and Adam; two loving grandsons, Spencer and Owen; and his loving wife, Pam, who works by his side as his office manager. While his sons were growing up, Dr. Gottlieb was a baseball and soccer coach as well as being a Cub Scout Master. When not serving patients, Dr. Gottlieb enjoys playing softball, watching the Islanders and Yankees, and spending time with his family.
