Dr. Gottlieb is a lifetime resident of Long Island. He grew up in New Hyde Park, New York. He attended Herricks High School and graduated in 1969. Dr. Gottlieb completed his undergraduate studies at Queens College and graduated with a History degree in 1973. He then went on to attend the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine where he graduated in 1977. After graduation, Dr. Gottlieb completed his medical residency and surgical training at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr Gottlieb opened the Oyster Bay office in 1978, followed by the Commack office in 1979. Dr. Gottlieb serves patients at both locations. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, New York State Podiatric Medical Association and a Diplomat to the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, Ambulatory Division. He has served as past secretary, vice president and president of the Nassau County Podiatry Association. Dr. Gottlieb is a board certified surgeon. He is an attending physician at North Shore University Hospital at Glen Cove. Dr. Gottlieb is the proud father of his three sons, Brett, Matthew and Adam. While his sons were growing up, Dr. Gottlieb was a baseball and soccer coach as well as being a Cub Scout Master. When not serving patients, Dr. Gottlieb enjoys playing softball, collecting stamps, watching the Islanders and Yankees, and spending time with his family.
